These are the terms a table at Leif Tearooms and Piano Bar is booked on. They cover bookings made through this website. Making one means agreeing to them.
Leif Tearooms and Piano Bar is a trading name of Brunel Bars Limited, company number 08038165. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number Z6152288.
Choose a day, a time and how many of you there will be, then give us your name and either an email address or a telephone number so that we can reach you.
A table is not held until the booking is confirmed. Most are confirmed as soon as you have made them. Some we look at first — a large party, or a table wanted for a long stretch — and you will hear from us either way.
There are limits on how far ahead you can book, on how large a party the form will take, and on how close to the sitting a booking can still be made. If the form will not accept what you are asking for, that is usually why, and the answer is to give us a ring.
Tell us if you are bringing a dog. Some parts of the room can take one and some cannot, so it is better settled before you set off than at the door.
We do not ask for a card to book a table, and no deposit is taken through this website. You pay for what you have when you are with us.
A table is booked for a set length of time, so that the people booked in after you get theirs. If you want it for longer, say so when you book and we will do what we can.
If you are running late, let us know. We will hold the table as long as we sensibly can, but on a full night a table nobody has arrived for cannot be held all evening.
If the number in your party changes, tell us as early as you can. A table laid for six is not always a table that can seat nine.
Plans change and we would far rather have a table back than have it stand empty. Tell us as early as you can and we will move the booking or let it go, with no fuss and nothing to pay.
To change or cancel a booking, contact us:
A table booked and not used is a table somebody else was turned away from. If you do not arrive and we have not heard from you, we record the booking as a no-show.
We do not charge for it. If it happens repeatedly we may decline to take another online booking from you, and ask you to book with us directly instead.
If you are allergic to something, tell us — in the booking, and again when you arrive and order. The kitchen works from what it has been told, so a late change in the party is worth mentioning twice.
We can tell you what is in a dish. Unless we say otherwise, assume that the same room, the same surfaces and the same equipment are used for everything we cook, so we cannot promise that a dish has never been near an allergen.
If an allergy is a serious one, speak to a member of staff before you order rather than relying on the booking form.
We can decline a booking and we can cancel one. We would only do it for a reason — the kitchen cannot open, something has gone wrong with the building, the party has grown past any table we have, or someone has behaved in a way that means they are not welcome back.
If we cancel, we will tell you as soon as we know, using the details you gave us.
What we do with the details you give us when you book, how long we keep them and what you can ask us to do about them are all set out in our privacy notice.
We may change these terms. The version on this page on the day you book is the one that applies to that booking.
Nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer under UK law.
